The Standard has officially launched its India-based Global Capability Center, StanCorp Global Services India Private Limited, marking a major investment in technology, innovation and operational scale. The new center will support the company’s transformation initiatives and generate high-value job opportunities in the country.
The company has named Mohua Sengupta as senior vice president and country head. Sengupta brings extensive leadership experience from Novartis India GCC, Accenture, Mphasis, Wipro, IGATE and several other firms.
Announcing her appointment, Greg Chandler, executive vice president of Information Technology, said, “I’m excited to welcome Mohua… she will be an incredible asset to our company as we scale and grow our U.S. business.”
Sharing her vision, Sengupta said, “I’m delighted to join The Standard during this exciting time of rapid growth… and scale more sustainably.”
Based in Bengaluru and Pune, Sengupta will lead all operations and employees of The Standard India. The GCC launches with 175 employees transitioning from Allstate India after The Standard acquired the Allstate Employer Voluntary Benefits business on April 1, 2025.
