Hinduja Family Tops UK Rich List Again, Strengthens EV Push in India

The Hinduja family has retained the number one position on The Sunday Times Rich List 2026 for the fifth straight year, with an estimated fortune of £38 billion.

Led by Sanjay and Dheeraj Hinduja, the family heads the Hinduja Group, a 111-year-old multinational conglomerate operating across 38 countries.

The latest ranking comes at a time when the Group is expanding its investments in sustainability-focused sectors, particularly electric mobility in India. Over the past year, the Group has increased investments in EV charging infrastructure, signalling a strategic move toward future-ready and environmentally aligned businesses.

The Hinduja Group has interests across mobility, digital technology, banking and financial services, healthcare, energy, media, real estate, project development, and specialty chemicals.

The Group continues to follow the founding philosophy of Late Shri Parmanand Deepchand Hinduja: “My Dharma is to work so that I can give.”

Alongside business expansion, the Hinduja Foundation remains active in social impact initiatives focused on healthcare, education, sustainable rural development, and water conservation across multiple regions.

The Sunday Times Rich List 2026 features around 350 names and families from across sectors and industries in the United Kingdom.
