Home Locker Sales Seen Rising 20% as Wedding Season Drives Security Focus

The Security Solutions business of Godrej Enterprises Group is expecting a significant uptick in home locker demand this wedding season, with projected sales growth of 20%, as consumers seek safer ways to store valuables.

The company said the wedding season has become a crucial period for home security consumption due to increased spending on gold, jewellery, cash and important documents. Elevated gold prices have heightened risk awareness, making secure storage an essential consideration for households.

Weddings are increasingly viewed as milestones of asset accumulation, prompting families to integrate security planning into their purchase decisions. In response to this shift, the Security Solutions business offers home lockers that provide stronger protection than ordinary cupboards, safeguarding valuables from theft, fire and unauthorised access while complementing modern home aesthetics.

The product portfolio is designed to meet the needs of a wide customer base, ranging from compact city homes to larger residences, improving accessibility of secure storage solutions across regions. The lockers also address vulnerabilities linked to insider access, which can rise during large family gatherings.

Pushkar Gokhale, Business Head, Security Solutions, said the wedding season has become strategically important for the business, as secure storage is increasingly influencing consumer purchasing behaviour.

Beyond metro markets, Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns now contribute close to 30% of the overall home locker business, supported by rising disposable incomes and growing gold ownership. With a distribution network of nearly 5,000 channel partners nationwide, the company is expanding its reach to capture demand across geographies.
