Experiential Learning Emerges as Key Competency for Future Schools

Education researchers widely agree that experiential learning — which blends inquiry, design, arts, collaboration and real-life application — is critical for developing future-ready students. This pedagogy equips children with creativity, empathy, resilience and problem-solving abilities that traditional rote systems often fail to cultivate.

Advancing this philosophy, Heritage Xperiential Schools has opened its first Pune campus, HIXS Pune, in Kalyani Nagar.

The launch included the Early Years Summit 2025, where international experts Jan Dubiel and Sarah Browne addressed educators and policymakers on early learning methodologies, child development and assessment frameworks.

Head of School Edward Lawless said HIXS Pune embodies Heritage’s mission to build meaningful and purpose-driven learning environments grounded in values and human connection.

The campus will start with Nursery–Grade 3, expanding to Grade 12. Its design integrates Makerspaces, arts studios, wellness spaces, light & sound ateliers and multi-sensory classrooms, reinforcing Heritage’s commitment to holistic development.
