Apollo Hospitals on Monday inaugurated its newest quaternary care facility in Swargate, marking the group’s third hospital in Maharashtra. The Pune unit will initially operate with 250 beds in its first phase, with expansion to 400 beds planned as demand grows.
Calling the new hospital a step toward strengthening Apollo’s national footprint, Chairman Dr. Prathap C Reddy said the facility aligns with the “Heal in India – Heal by India” vision. “We are creating a global destination where clinical excellence meets compassion and affordability,” he said.
Executive Vice Chairperson Dr. Preetha Reddy said the hospital continues Apollo’s four-decade legacy of quality and innovation, while Managing Director Dr. Suneeta Reddy described the centre as a strategic addition to one of India’s fastest-growing healthcare markets.
Group CEO & President Dr. Madhu Sasidhar said the facility is built on safety science and evidence-based practice, with patients at the centre of all decisions. Pune CEO Dr. Manisha Karmarkar highlighted the hospital’s alignment with the city’s innovation-driven ecosystem.
The Swargate campus features advanced surgical robotics, precision oncology, modular operating theatres, integrated ICUs, digital PET-CT, LINAC radiotherapy, and specialised programs in cardiac sciences, transplants, orthopaedics, critical care, and mother-and-child health. IoT-driven monitoring, telehealth connectivity and multidisciplinary teams complete a digitally unified, high-acuity care environment.
