AIBI Launches Multiple Market Initiatives at 14th Annual Convention in Mumbai

The 14th Annual Convention of the Association of Investment Bankers of India (AIBI) was held at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, with participation from over 1,500 delegates representing regulators, exchanges, asset managers, merchant bankers and issuers.

The Convention was organised under the theme “IPOs India: Gateway to Global Capital, Sustainable Growth, Viksit Bharat,” focusing on the role of IPO markets in supporting India’s economic ambitions.

SEBI Chairman Shri Tuhin Kanta Pandey attended the Convention along with NSE MD & CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan, BSE MD & CEO Sundararaman Ramamurthy and AIBI Chairman Mahavir Lunawat.

Discussions during the event addressed market access reforms, SME IPOs, mutual funds, capital formation and regulatory transparency. A dedicated session examined India’s long-term capital market strategy.

AIBI unveiled a range of initiatives, including Preparing Offer Document: Standard Practices and Disclosures, Handbook for Issuers, Investor Handbook, MoU with ICMA London, Investor Focused Prospectus Navigation Guide, White Paper on Capital Formation, AIBI 2nd Annual Magazine, Merchant Banker Compliance Referencer, Investor Awareness Video and Shadow Art – Informed Investor.

Mr. Mahavir Lunawat said, “India is at an inflection point where capital markets are growing more stronger with continuously widening investor base, At AIBI, our continuous efforts are focussed on creating a robust investment culture and enabling access to knowledge and intelligence for better capital formation and these initiatives are a step in that direction”.

The Convention reinforced AIBI’s role in shaping India’s capital market ecosystem.
