TVS VENU has agreed to acquire up to a 9.9% stake in Jana Small Finance Bank through a mix of primary warrant issuance and secondary share purchases.
The deal includes a 4.9% stake to be owned by TVS Motor Company, subject to regulatory approvals.
Jana Small Finance Bank currently serves over 12 million customers through 822 outlets across 23 states and two Union Territories, with advances and deposits exceeding Rs. 35,000 crore each.
Sudarshan Venu, Chairman of TVS Motor Company, said, “We firmly believe that a key driver to India’s growth is the strengthening and expansion of India’s financial services.”
TVS VENU said the investment aligns with its long-term strategy to support institutions serving India’s growing digital financial ecosystem and expanding credit market.
