Vascon Engineers Ltd. has inaugurated a new Centre of Excellence for Construction and Real Estate Innovation at COEP, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Founder & Chairman Emeritus Mr. R. Vasudevan’s graduating batch.
The 18,000 sq. ft. facility has been constructed within the COEP campus to promote research and deployment of advanced technologies in construction and infrastructure.
The Centre will host live demonstrations, pilot projects, and collaborative research initiatives, strengthening industry–academia engagement.
CREDAI will collaborate on developing part of the facility, while the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA) will set up a dedicated Plumbing Lab.
The Centre will focus on sustainable construction, digital site tools, automation, energy and water management solutions, robotics, and modular systems.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. R. Vasudevan, Founder & Chairman Emeritus, Vascon Engineers Ltd., said, “The Centre of Excellence at COEP reflects our long-standing association with the institution and our focus on building stronger linkages between industry and academia. Focusing on the latest technology in project execution. As construction practices evolve with greater use of technology and data, the Centre will serve as a shared space for learning, testing, and application.”
