Ashok Leyland has inaugurated a new integrated commercial vehicle manufacturing plant near Lucknow Airport, reinforcing its commitment to electric mobility and sustainable manufacturing. The plant was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy.
The inauguration witnessed participation from senior Uttar Pradesh government officials, diplomats, industrialists, Ashok Leyland’s global dealers and suppliers, and leadership from the Hinduja Group.
Located in Sarojini Nagar Industrial Area, the 70-acre facility is Ashok Leyland’s most advanced manufacturing plant globally. It is designed to produce up to 5,000 vehicles annually, with electric vehicles forming the primary focus. The plant employs a workforce largely drawn from Uttar Pradesh, including a significant number of women employees.
